dance class…
Dancing World…
i wonder how the bollywood dance is gonna be, by a non-indian….it won’t be authentic definitely so i wouldn’t bother.
Sarah-Jane has been dancing since the age of seven She made her first trip to India
two and a half years ago to dance in the movie ‘Apne’ and immediately fell in love
with the country, the culture and of course, Bollywood!
Her Bollywood credits total almost 20 films, including ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’, ‘Jhoom Barabar Jhoom’, ‘Ta Ra Rum Pum’, ‘Jaan-e-Mann’, ‘Aaja Nachle’, ‘U me Aur Hum’ and ‘Heyy Babbyy’ (where she also had the pleasure of slapping Akshay Kumar in the face playing a mum in a supermarket!) She also played a panicking nurse opposite Argen Rampal’s fake doctor in ‘I see You’. But the credit she is most proud of is ‘Om Shanti Om’, dancing in the hit song Dard-e-Disco alongside Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan!
Bollywood dancing does not require perfect technique or strict training the majority of its stars have neither! Bollywood dancing is simply a celebration of life and of the joy that comes from dancing just for the sake of dancing! It matters less what you look like and more about the energy and enthusiasm you bring to it. It is dance exactly as it should be, light hearted and above all…fun!
